The four represented communities of Sells District each have local representatives who facilitate community matters and coordinate with the Administration to provide services. Each community is diverse and provides stipulated assistance from an annual budget. Community members are strongly encouraged to register and vote in their communities on local matters and/or inquire with the respective representatives about concerns or questions.
Sells District is located on the Tohono O’odham Nation’s main reservation, 60 miles west of Tucson, Arizona and is identified primarily by the town of Sells. Traditionally known as the Komckud E-wa’osidk Ceksan (Turtle Wedged District), we are one of the Tohono O’odham Nation’s eleven political Districts, located south centrally on our tribe’s reservation in Southern Arizona. The Sells District is the most populated District on the reservation and houses the tribal government and nearly all of the local services including: the Bashas shopping center, post office, fire station, police station, jail, hospital and tribal court.
